Munich, as an important industrial center in southern Germany, is home to one of Europe's top iron and steel metallurgy enterprises. The enterprise's steelmaking, smelting and continuous casting processes have extremely strict requirements for the purity, stability and continuous supply capacity of industrial oxygen – the oxygen purity needs to be stably maintained at 99.5%, and the oxygen supply capacity must reach 400Nm³/h to meet the production rhythm of the high-efficiency steelmaking workshop. In the past, the enterprise mainly relied on local liquid oxygen suppliers for oxygen supply. However, affected by factors such as the European energy crisis, rising liquid oxygen production costs, and frequent disruptions in cross-border logistics, the enterprise faced problems such as unstable oxygen supply, soaring procurement costs, and potential safety risks in liquid oxygen storage and transportation. To solve these pain points, the enterprise launched a global tender for "localized oxygen generation equipment procurement" in early 2024, aiming to select a set of oxygen generation equipment that meets EU CE certification, low energy consumption, and adapts to the high-altitude and low-temperature characteristics of southern Germany.
